As autumn arrives each year, a procession of animals, everything from dogs, cats, birds, and iguanas to hamsters, fish and even horses, is led to our parish for a special ceremony called the Blessing of the Animals. This custom is conducted in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures. Please join us on Saturday, October 5th for our annual Blessing of the Animals. Bring your pets and gather in front of the church at 11:00am. Please keep all animals on a leash or in a cage. Families can also bring a picture or stuffed animal that represents their pet.
